It's handy, and I use it, but I've caught significant errors. So I make a point of never using Wikipedia data without corroboration. I've caught errors, corrected them with citations, and then had my corrections removed.

Of course there can be errors in any source. The key is to make sure. But still, for quick general information, Wiki is handy.Bill Cameronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04796321136771189464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3529128955266044151.post-79972163224073627152008-03-24T12:10:00.000-04:002008-03-24T12:10:00.000-04:00Susan, I Wiki as well. You set off a memory with this when you said, "Wiki is Hawaiian for fast."

That explains why Steve McGarrett used to always turn to Chin Ho and say "Chin, wiki, wiki!" (you knew with me there'd be a but, right?)...

As a guy who spends a LOT of time researching on the web, ya gotta great Wiki with some skepticism (& just about everything else on the web). But overall, it brings me back to the earlier Web days (yes, all that long, long time ago) when we actually surfed the web. You start with Anasazi, get caught up in Hopi, read something about Kokopelli, then you're into Utah, Mormons, the Osmonds, Dancing with the Stars, Cheryl Burke, Suite Life of Zack and Cody...Mark Terryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09410424046477699059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3529128955266044151.post-10758925069071069782008-03-24T07:26:00.000-04:002008-03-24T07:26:00.000-04:00I adore Wiki.
