Ireland is a definite on my dream travel list -- for now, I'm surrounded by the oncoming heat of summer in Louisiana. :-) Your Irish writing space looks exquisite, and I agree that we need the slow, deep life rather than the fast, skimming one. Our family obligations, "day" jobs and the press of modern life can seem all consuming, but thankfully we writers are blessed with imaginations and the power to use them. :-) StacieStacie Eirichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13889951415294858821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3529128955266044151.post-43709114655570298422016-04-23T15:20:57.977-04:002016-04-23T15:20:57.977-04:00Hi Edith! I love how the book contracts came along after you quit your job. What that saying, Jump and the net will follow? :-)Lisa Alberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12591430453957883948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3529128955266044151.post-33667978327440092082016-04-22T05:41:47.667-04:002016-04-22T05:41:47.667-04:00What lovely post, Lisa. I jettisoned the day job three years ago - but then acquired two additional multi-book contracts, so I'm still really busy. But my mornings are my creative time, and after that I go for a long walk, during which the plot holes fill and scene problems resolve, and I spend my afternoons in other authorial pursuits - blog posts, arranging speaking events, and so on.

Hope you can retain a sense of that slower pace as you get back to the busy life!Edith Maxwellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01388006370860482509noreply@blogger.com
