When it comes to cozy crime fiction you can have arguments about whose best -- Christie, Sayers, etc. When it comes to noir crime fiction you can argue over Cain, Chandler, etc. But when it comes to basset hound crime fiction, there's no argument at all -- Tom Schreck forever!

Keith - A little known fact is that my first published short story featured a basset hound. Really, truly, no lie. It appeared in a SinC Chapter collection of stories called Chesapeake Crimes.

So there you go. I'm throwing my hat in the basset hound ring.
