YOU know who YOU are.
YOU are the one who budgets money for books, understanding that they are a necessity and not a luxury. YOU are the one reading books, devouring them, digesting them, living them, making them your friends. YOU are the one who looks forward to the next book and the next and the next. YOU are the one who tells your friends about favorites, both new and longtime.
YOU know who YOU are.
YOU would rather turn pages than turn channels.
YOU are wonderful.
YOU are a reader.
YOU are appreciated.
And YOU are one of the main reasons I pursue this madness.

What a lovely tribute to all our wonderful, very special readers, Sue Ann. Yes, that's why we keep writing - and at heart, we are also those "You's" as well.
I was at a book event a few weekends back and I was chatting up a fellow that collects books - in particular first editions. I shook his hand and thanked him for being out there. He, and the countless others like him, are the reason we can pursue our dreams.
Dear Appreciated Reader,
Please buy more. I have a kid in college. Thank you.
Keith
Great post, Sue Ann! I have one more plea to our wonderful readers - please buy our books in actual bookstores. Those are the numbers that keep the publishers happy, and keep our books comin' your way.
